Dan Sullivan has committed himself to public service for more than thirty years. As a United States Senator, he has been a staunch advocate for the military, veterans, infrastructure, and Arctic policy. He is a vocal advocate in defense of Alaska’s sovereignty as a state. Sullivan also served as Alaska’s Attorney General and Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources. He is the principal architect of the “Choose Respect” campaign which sought to address the epidemic of domestic violence in Alaska. He held judicial clerkships on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Alaska Supreme Court; spent 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve; and worked at the U.S. Department of State and the International Economics Directorate of the National Security Agency.
