Infrastructure Study Group (Completed 2011)

The Board of Directors of Commonwealth North has approved the study “Roles and Responsibilities of an Owner State: Critical Infrastructure.”  The purpose of this study was to define the roles and responsibilities of an “Owner State” related to the critical infrastructure needed to support Alaska’s communities. When thinking of infrastructure in Alaska we have identified two components that are of particular interest – utilities (energy creation and distribution) and logistics (transportation of people, goods and services). The co-chairs of this study group were CWN Board members Jeff Staser and Nils Andreassen.
