Alaska Health Care Commission Report – Public Comments Invited
Commonwealth North has been leading efforts to study, highlight, and identify challenges and opportunities in Alaska’s health care environment in order to bring informed Alaskans to the table and come to solutions that will benefit all Alaskans and ensure these complex health care issues are understood. To that end, we recommend that our members review the Alaska Health Care Commission’s 2014 Draft Report and consider providing feedback to the Commission during the public comment period this month.
Presented in this draft report for public review and feedback are:
- Findings & Recommendations related to prevention and control of fraud and abuse in the State’s Medicaid program (Part III, pages 5-7).
- Seven policy priorities selected by the Commission for facilitation during 2015, and proposed activities to foster implementation of those priorities (Part IV, pages 8-17).
- A draft policy paper on key elements that would be required in state legislation to create a statewide All-Payer Claims Database for Alaska (Appendix A).4. A draft set of health benefit recommendations for Alaskan employers (Appendix B).
