On October 1st, 2015, Senator Lesil McGuire gave a presentation to the Fiscal Action Coalition about her legislation SB 114 now pending in the Legislature. Her bill would change how money is deposited into the Permanent Fund, and switch it to a POMV formula. The bill would enable the Legislature to utilize Permanent Fund earnings to help meet the fiscal gap and stabilize and protect future PFDs.
