Discussion Points:Discuss what we've learned to date, and what conclusions can be
drawn. Also, where to proceed from this point & what are the next steps as we work
toward a final report.

Note -- the "Four Questions" posed in the original charge will help frame the discussion.
These are:a) What are the issues?
b) What will happen if we do nothing?
c) What would a positive resolution look like?
d) What might this resolution mean to Alaska?

At Duane's suggestion a colored graph (mapping) was created on the marker board,
delineating issues and recording points made with the above four questions in mind. A
fifth question was discussed (to go between c and d above) -- How could a positive
resolution be reached?

It was a lively discussion. Vicki Otte has prepared and distributed via e-mail a written
summary of the mapping, which should also be available on the CWN website.
Comments / responses to this are invited.

Overview of Events: Various meetings were discussed, including:

First Wed. each month, at 1 Methodist church, 725 W. Ninth, noon a mixed group has
been meeting to discuss rural / urban issues. Vicki Otte and Duane Heyman have been
attending these; Jon Kumin joined them this past week. Recommended.
