At this November forum we will preview the release of the upcoming film, “The Building of Alaska” due out in 2009. The film continues Great Project’s previous work about our nation’s engineering and infrastructure. The critically-acclaimed series “Great Projects: The Building of America,” a two-part series broadcast on PBS, reached more than 10 million viewers. The Alaska film looks at the engineering and construction of the great railroads, highways and bridges that transformed the state.

Great Projects has produced numerous highly-regarded programs for national broadcast about engineering and construction. In 2006, Producers Kenneth Mandel and Daniel Polin were honored with the Engineering Journalism Award by the American Association of Engineering Societies. The company has won an EMMY award and has been nominated for an Academy Award. Great Projects has also produced educational videos about engineering ethics and is widely used in engineering schools nationwide.
