Commonwealth North's 2010 Republican Debate will be postponed until Monday, August 23rd. The major candidates are confirmed. The policy concerns the candidates will need to address are critical to the long range stability of Alaska. This program will deliver an engaging and detailed candidate forum for members and guests to analyze the candidate's leadership qualifications on pivotal public policy concerns for Alaska's future Governor.
All leading candidates will be prepared to offer responses to targeted questions on topics the members of Commonwealth North have identified as priorities including long-range fiscal planning, energy stability, and dramatic increases in the cost of health care for customers, the health care industry, and within Alaska's budget.
On October 28th we will invite the winners of the primary election back for a final general election program. Our moderators will be Karen Hunt, Jeff Lowenfels, and Frank Murkowski for the series.
Join us at the Captain Cook Hotel August 23rd for the second of the three debates. Networking begins at 11:30am with extended Question and Answer session from 1-2. The debate begins at 12pm. Individual tickets for members are $25, non-members $35.
If you registered for the August 12th date we will automatically transfer your reservation to the new August 23rd date. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, please call the office at 258-9522 and we will refund your registration.
