In April we had the opportunity to hear from Tom Irwin, Commissioner of Natural Resources, on the Administration's perspective and reasoning behind AGIA. As part of our continuing series of programs on this important state policy issue, we invited the Producers (BP, ConocoPhilips, Exxon) to share their response to and concerns with the contractual process spelled out in AGIA.
At the Producers event the speakers were: Paul Wilcox—Attorney, Hughes Bauman Pfiffner Gorski & Seedorf, LLC and co-chair of the Commonwealth North Gasline Study group: Wendy King - Manager ANS Gas Development, ConocoPhillips Alaska; Dave Van Tuyl - Gas Commercialization Manager, Gas and Midstream Alaska, BP Exploration Alaska; Mark Nelson - Technical Advisor, Alaska Gas Development, ExxonMobil; Governor Walter Hickel -twice Governor of the state of Alaska, former Secretary of the Interior, and co-founder of Commonwealth North; and Joe Beedle-- EVP Chief Lending Officer, Northrim Bank, and Vice President of Commonwealth North.
Getting a gasline built to move Alaska's gas to market is certainly one of the major policy issues facing the state today.
