On September 24th, Kathe Boucha will give a presentation to the Health Care Action Coalition about telemedicine in Alaska and globally. For 25 years with the Providence Health System, Kathe held the positions of Director of Rural Health and Alliances and Director of International Medicine and Telemedicine. Kathe signed working agreements for health care reform and telemedicine development projects with the Ministries of Health in Romania, Bulgaria, Regions of the Russian Far East, Siberia and Kosova. In 1994, with UAA, Kathe co-founded the Alaska Telemedicine Project. She is currently the Director of Development and Secretary of the International Virtual e-Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Kathe will also discuss how engaged patients are improving health care. The documents below are based on the book, “Let Patients Help!” by “e-Patient Dave” deBronkart.
